Organic Sheets & Pillowcases

The Savannah line of sateen organic cotton sheets and pillowcases is offered in slate gray (shown), driftwood, ivory and white. The 300+-thread-count collection is made with organic cotton processed according to strict Global Organic Textile Standards (GOTS) that prohibits the use of toxic pesticides, dyes and finishing agents. The sheet and pillowcase colors coordinate with the company’s organic cotton, GOTS-certified bath mat, towel and throw/blanket collections. Grund America,

Hand-Knitted Throw

The Delray throw presents thick twists of hand-knitted yarn. Unlike other hand-knitted throws made with loose roving yarns, in the Delray throw, the chunky yarn is knitted first and then used as individual strands to hand knit so it won’t pill or pull. Delray is available in natural (shown), caramel, charcoal, denim and smoke. Bedford Cottage, 800-242-1537,

Marbling Marvel

The Jourdain Birch design creates a three-dimensional effect though it is a digital print on 300-thread-count cotton sateen. Within the gray diamond shapes is patterning that mimics the veining and shadings of natural marble. Designers Guild, 212-967-4540,

Upcycled Fabric

This Chindi placemat is woven by women artisans in India using colorful, braided fabrics that are upcycled into placemats instead of being thrown away as waste. Matr Boomie, 512-535-5228,

Peace Silk

The organic peace silk pillows are hand woven on bamboo looms using natural and vegetable-dyed yarns. The fabric has a soft drape with a unique matte texture. Unlike conventional silks, peace silk production does not involve boiling the silk worm in its cocoon. The silk is harvested only after the moth has emerged and flown away. Only natural fertilizers are used to grow plants to feed the silk worms. The artisans earn fair income and are provided with medical coverage and annual bonuses. Shown in raspberry stripe, the pillows are offered in a range of colors and designs. Sustainable Threads, 732-940-7487,

Stripes In Linen

The new Striped Hand Towels Collection is made with top-quality pure linen fabric in a classic huckaback weave with plain seaming around. It is soft, absorbent and includes a loop for hanging. Shown in marine blue, the 18- by 26-inch towel is available in a range of colors and stripe patterns. LinenMe, 312-233-2929,

Natural Beauty

The Purists Allegro is made with 80 percent organic cotton and 20 percent silk. Since the fabric is dye and chemical free, the hue is the natural color of the cotton and silk—a rich, lustrous cream. Allegro washes beautifully, so no need for harsh chemicals to keep the fabric looking fresh and new. SDH, 707-864-8075,

Sophisticated Stripes

Made with 100 percent washed linen, The Tack Stripe is available as a duvet cover (shown), pillowcase and sham. The 3.5 inch black-and-white sand stripe is rendered in medium weight, tightly woven twill. This top-of-bed collection works well with the company’s new Santiago white sand bedding as well as with all of its new knit throws. Libeco Home, 212-764-6644,

Tulip & Lilac Bouquets

The designs on these 22- by 22-inch pillows are inspired by the work of French impressionist, Eugene Cauchois. In these still-life bouquets, each bloom and leaf is realistically depicted in saturated tones selected to bring a touch of sophistication to any décor. NY NOW features a new date pattern for the Summer 2018 market to offer greater convenience for buyers and exhibitors. NY NOW at the Javits Convention Center in New York City opens at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 12 and closes at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 15 (one hour later than previous markets).
