High Point Market Offers Retailer & Designer Roundtable Tracks, Celebrities & More

The High Point Market Authority (HPMA) has planned a robust lineup of programming and special events during High Point Market from April 6 to 10, 2019. Here are some highlights:
• The Point, a pop-up venue located on Commerce Ave. between S. Main and Wrenn Sts. that debuted in Spring 2018, features programming open to all Market attendees that changes daily. Saturday through Tuesday, 60-minute interactive roundtables led by experts are planned, with retailer-focused sessions each morning at 10 a.m., and designer-focused roundtables each afternoon at 2 p.m.
Saturday afternoon at The Point features celebrity meet-and-greet events, with artist, designer, entrepreneur, and Emmy and Golden Globe winning actress, Jane Seymour, at 3:15 p.m., followed by the designer and star of HGTV’s “Love It or List It,” Hillary Farr, at 4:15 p.m.
The Parson’s Table Pop-Up offers homemade lunch service from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day. Evening offerings include After Hours At The Point, with craft beer and wine from local Brown Truck Brewery, and local food trucks Friday through Monday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
• The Design Viewpoints Series, presented by the High Point Market Authority in partnership with the American Society of Interior Designers, takes place April 6 to 8, at the High Point Theatre. Designers can earn up to 0.3 IDCEC-approved continuing education units (CEUs) through the series. Sponsored by Monogram Appliances, the sessions are free and open to all Market attendees with a valid Spring Market pass.
Topics include: “Lessons From A Well-Designed Business®” on April 6, noon to 1 p.m.; “Tech Tools: Reviews From The Designers Who Use Them” on April 7, noon to 1 p.m., and “Leveraging Social Media To Market Your Business” on April 8, noon to 1 p.m.
