Expanding Uses Of Lenzing’s TENCEL®

According to Nina Nadash, home & interiors marketing manger, North America at Lenzing, TENCEL® is growing in popularity, with its use in more products, and familiarity. Lenzing’s TENCEL is a branded lyocell fiber extracted from wood and produced in a closed-loop system. Regarding performance, TENCEL fibers are more absorbent than cotton, softer than silk and cooler than linen. During September 2017 N.Y. Home Fashions Market, Nadash observed TENCEL being used in sheeting and shell fabrications combined with linen in enzyme washed, yarn dyed, and slub constructions as well as in prints; and blended with cotton in jacquard and dobby constructions. Overall, TENCEL also is appearing in more bespoke-style quilted blankets and coverlets.
Shown is the Encase® Omniphase™ mattress protector that includes moisture-wicking TENCEL® fabric and Omniphase™ phase change technology that absorbs and releases heat to create a comfortable sleep climate. The patented encasement protector also blocks bed bugs with a 360° Micro Tite™ zipper. The lab-certified H2Pro® membrane blocks liquids, while the Universal Fit™ fitted sheet style elastic insures a secure fit for mattresses up to 22 inches. Lenzing, 212-944-7898,, Malouf, 800-517-7179,
