WithIt Conference In August Expands With Pre- And Post-Conference Events

Leadership Development Conference, organized around the theme of
"The Leading Woman," will be held Monday evening, Aug. 17 through
midday Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2015 at the Atlanta Marriott Buckhead
Hotel & Conference Center. The conference is open to
professionals, male and female, in all niches of the home and
furnishings industries. It will showcase more than 20 speakers
and presenters to inspire, empower and educate more than 150
attendees for three days.
Joining the lineup of presenters are: opening speaker, Ann
Omvig Maine, editor-in-chief of Traditional Home magazine, who
will talk on "Art + Commerce: Leading in the Business of Beauty,
Creativity & Design"; Julie S. Nugent, vice-president of Catalyst
Research's Center for Corporate Practice, who will speak on "The
Landscape for Women in Leadership"; and Dr. Sandy Jap, professor
of Marketing at Emory University, Goizueta Business School, whose
topic is "21st Century Competitive Advantage: Customer Service."

One-on-one career coaching sessions are available for
attendees to purchase, and may be scheduled at requested times
throughout the conference. In addition, a limited number of
tables will be for sale on the conference main lobby floor, a
popular gathering spot for presenters and attendees, for vendor
presentations. Additional conference workshops and panels will be
announced in the coming weeks.
A pre-conference invitation-only Executive Forum for C-suite
executives is scheduled for Sunday evening, Aug. 16, through
mid-day Monday, Aug. 17 organized around the theme of "Creating
and Sustaining a Highly Engaged Culture." The event will feature
a private dinner and interactive executive group sessions on how
executives can transform themselves personally and professionally
to maximize leadership in their lives and organizations.
Confirmed facilitator for the exclusive Executive Forum is Dr.
Jessica Foster, Senior Partner with RHR International LLP.
On Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 19, intensive post-conference
Leadership Institute workshops for certification credit will be
organized around three topics: "Getting Covered—Using Earned
Media To Market Your Business," "Become An Industry Insider: Top
Knowledge Tips For More Effective Leadership," and "We Make Color
Easy." The interactive workshops will take place from
1:30-4:30pm. Registration to secure a space at the
limited-seating workshops is available online.

for non-members, $150 for fulltime students—through early
