Christy Expands In U.S.
| During 2014, Christy Lifestyle LLC made the decision to progress the Christy
brand presence in the U.S. and, after an overwhelmingly positive response, the
company is re-focusing on this expansion throughout 2015. Jamie Keenan, formerly
of the U.K. office, has now re-located to the U.S. to support the company's
commitment to this exciting chapter in the Christy story.
"The team in the USA have done a great job of supporting the growth of the
Christy brand and now we are excited as a business to take this to the next step,"
says Jamie Keenan, assistant vice-president, Christy Lifestyle LLC. "I am looking
forward to reaching out to all of our existing customers and developing some new
relationships throughout the course of 2015. From a personal perspective everyone
had been incredibly welcoming and supportive re-affirming this as a great move for
both me and the brand."
Historically, the company's most well-known product in the USA has been the
Christy Classic Renaissance towel. However, in the past year Christy has seen the
Supreme Hygro® towel carrying the COTTON USA international trademark for
quality U.S. cotton products gain some significant momentum.
A new edition to the collection is the Royal Turkish towel reminiscent of the first
towel ever produced by Christy in 1850 and bought by Queen Victoria for the royal
household. Henry Christy the founder of the brand actually invented the method of
mass producing terry towelling fabric as it is known today. This collection features a
vintage color palette with biased bound edging and is individually piece dyed to
create a unique and distinctive product.
Alongside Christy's towel collection is a range of bed linen and home accessories,
the focus being on fashion bed linen that brings luxury to on-trend bed linen
